🔧 MP27 KO Ironhide Masterpiece Action Figure
I’ve always had a soft spot for the G1 Transformers, and the MP27 KO Ironhide really caught my eye as one of AliExpress’s top sellers in the collectible action figure space. I chose this piece because of the character nostalgia and how much it resembled the Takara Tomy original without the steep price tag.
The delivery took about 16 days to the US—pretty reasonable. The figure came in a well-protected box, no damage, and I was honestly surprised by the quality. The plastic felt solid, the joints weren’t loose, and the transformation sequence mirrored the original MP27 closely.
Pros: – Impressively detailed paintwork – Tight joints, stands well in robot mode – Feels durable – Price under $40 vs. $110+ in US markets
Cons: – Slightly off facial sculpt compared to the original – Box design was obviously “KO” style
For a KO figure, this one hit the mark. I’ve paid triple the price for figures with worse QC from US sellers. Met my expectations and even exceeded them slightly. For Ironhide fans, this is a no-brainer if you’re budget-conscious.

🛠️ MP30 KO Ratchet Masterpiece Edition
I picked up the MP30 KO Ratchet as a companion to the Ironhide figure. Same seller, same expectations. It shipped together with Ironhide and arrived safely in the same bubble-packed box.
Out of the box, Ratchet looked great. The white was bright, clean, and didn’t have that weird yellow tint that some KO Ratchets tend to develop over time. I appreciated the accessories—it even included a full set just like the original Masterpiece edition.
Pros: – Clean white paint with no visible blemishes – Good transformation mechanics – Includes all signature Ratchet tools – Under $35 vs. $120+ in the States
Cons: – Arm articulation slightly stiffer than Ironhide – Packaging again screams KO
Still, for the price, it was an incredible buy. Definitely exceeded expectations and fits in nicely with my MP display lineup.

🚑 KO MPM-11 Oversized Ratchet Movie Version
I’ve been eyeing the KO MPM-11 Oversized Ratchet because I wanted a display-worthy Bayverse Ratchet that didn’t cost a fortune. This one stood out due to its larger scale and die-cast alloy parts.
This was the heaviest item in my shipment. It came in its own box and was individually foam-packed—very secure. Took about 20 days to arrive.
Pros: – Oversized scale feels premium – Alloy parts give it real weight – Surprisingly complex transformation – ~$55 vs. $150+ for original MPM
Cons: – A bit too heavy for some display stands – Instructions were vague
I didn’t expect this KO to be so detailed. The LED lights were a cool surprise too. Easily the standout figure among the bunch in terms of build quality.
US $80.4

🚓 SS96 BB96 N.E.S.T Ratchet (Studio Series Inspired)
This one, the SS96 BB96 N.E.S.T Ratchet, was a fun impulse buy. I wanted a more compact Bayverse-style figure for my desk, and the price (around $20) made it hard to pass up.
It arrived in a smaller box, but everything was intact. The articulation was fluid, and the color scheme looked sharp. It’s clearly inspired by Hasbro’s Studio Series, and it holds its own surprisingly well.
Pros: – Cool black/gray N.E.S.T colorway – High articulation – Compact and ideal for shelf or desk – ~$20 vs. $35 for Studio Series retail
Cons: – Plastic feels thinner – Accessories were minimal
Still a great value, and perfect if you’re not looking for something too bulky. For a desk toy, it gets a thumbs-up.
US $28.15

🔬 SS-96BB Ratchet Studio Series KO (Takara Style)
Very similar to the previous item, but this SS-96BB Ratchet KO leans more into the Takara aesthetic. It was slightly more expensive (about $26) and came with a few more accessories.
I chose it mainly for the slightly different paint apps and Takara-style sculpt. The delivery time was just over 2 weeks.
Pros: – Great facial sculpt and detailing – Good balance and posing options – Clean Takara finish – ~$26 vs. $35 retail
Cons: – Slightly fiddly leg transformation – Not as durable as the MPM line
This one met my expectations exactly—nothing mind-blowing, but solid. It’s great if you’re collecting Studio Series variants.
US $26.06

⚙️ MP-30 KO Ratchet (Second Seller Variant)
Yes, I got a second MP-30 KO Ratchet, but from a different seller just to compare QC. The result? Surprisingly good again. This one had slightly better paint but looser knees.
I wanted to see how consistent these KO versions were, and this confirmed that quality varies a bit depending on the seller. Still, I had no regrets—it was only $32.
Pros: – Slight paint variation – Arrived faster than expected – Still a solid KO alternative
Cons: – Slightly loose knees – Less foam in packaging
If you’re trying to build out your display on a budget, getting duplicates for kitbashing or posing isn’t a bad idea.

🦾 BMB Hound H6001-6 AOYI Alloy Robot
I picked the BMB Hound AOYI Alloy Figure because I wanted something chunkier with a different character style. At 18cm and partially die-cast, this one seemed promising.
It shipped separately and took about 19 days. Out of the box, the Hound felt hefty, solid, and highly poseable. The alloy in the legs gave it real presence on the shelf.
Pros: – Die-cast alloy parts – Sturdy feel and great paint apps – Stands firmly without base – ~$38 vs. $90+ for original
Cons: – Slightly clunky transformation – Weapon accessories a bit oversized
This one blew past my expectations. It feels much more premium than what I paid for it. Definitely one of my favorite purchases from this haul.
US $8.88

🤖 Magic Square MS-B44 Ironhide & MS-B45 Ratchet G1 Mini Set
The Magic Square Ironhide & Ratchet Mini G1 Set was something I threw in just for fun. These are smaller-scale figures (great for limited shelf space), and I’ve seen them praised in collector groups.
They came together in one package. The plastic is matte but high-quality. Transformation was a bit fiddly due to the size, but the G1 accuracy is impressive.
Pros: – G1-accurate mini scale – Great for desk or bookshelf – Strong magnet joints – $28 for two vs. $60+ for Hasbro Legends
Cons: – Tiny parts, so not kid-friendly – Slightly tricky transformation
If you’re into mini-scale or G1 nostalgia, this is a great pickup. I was pleasantly surprised by how sharp they look for such a small scale.
US $43.66
Final Verdict 🧩
I honestly didn’t expect all eight items to arrive in solid condition or be this good—especially at these prices. Quality varied slightly between sellers, but every product was usable and well worth what I paid. The KO Masterpieces in particular really impressed me. I’d absolutely recommend these to anyone building a Transformers collection on a budget.
Will I order more? Without a doubt. These figures exceeded my expectations and made me see AliExpress not just as a cheap marketplace—but as a legit source for hobbyist gold.
