🚀 TF-Luna Lidar Range Finder Sensor
I picked up the TF-Luna Lidar Sensor Module mostly out of curiosity. I’ve been experimenting with some Arduino-based DIY robotics projects, and this little module kept coming up in forums as a solid budget-friendly option. It was way cheaper than anything I could find stateside, and it had a ton of positive feedback from hobbyists.
First impressions? Very solid. The packaging was basic but functional, and the module arrived with all the expected connectors. It took less than 10 minutes to integrate it with my Arduino board via UART, and it worked out of the box without any drama. The range detection was accurate within a few millimeters indoors, and it performed decently even in ambient light conditions.
Pros: – Excellent value for the money – Compact and lightweight – Accurate for single-point ranging – Works well with both UART and I2C
Cons: – Limited range (~4 meters max) – Not waterproof or rugged for outdoor use
Compared to a US equivalent like the Garmin Lidar Lite (which retails around $100), this little guy is a steal at under $20. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be this precise. It’s not industrial-grade, but for makers and hobbyists? Total win. Expectations were more than met.
US $25.72

🌌 Space Astronaut Enamel Pin
This Astronaut Enamel Pin caught my eye for its sleek retro design and nostalgic nod to Apollo 11. I’m a sucker for space-themed collectibles and thought this would be a fun addition to my backpack pinboard.
The detailing is surprisingly crisp. The enamel is vibrant, and the colors haven’t chipped or faded after weeks of wear. The clasp is firm — hasn’t popped off once, even with daily use on my bag.
Pros: – Clean finish and strong clasp – Great design accuracy – Lightweight and comfortable
Cons: – None so far, but the gold-tone could wear off over time
I’ve paid nearly $10 for similar NASA pins from US-based Etsy shops. This one was under $2, shipped. Unreal. Totally lived up to the hype.
US $0.99

🌕 Lunar Crystal Meditation Pendant
I bought the Tiger Eye Crystal Hexagonal Pendulum mostly because I’m into mindfulness, and I like collecting semi-precious stone accessories. The earthy colors of the Tiger Eye stood out.
It arrived in a small velvet pouch, and the stone felt cool and dense in the hand — definitely genuine. I’ve used it during a few meditation sessions, and it helps me focus. Whether it’s metaphysical or just the aesthetics doing the trick, I can’t say, but it works for me.
Pros: – Real stone (not resin) – Well-cut with a sharp hexagonal shape – Lightweight chain
Cons: – Chain loop could be sturdier – No certificate of authenticity (if that matters to you)
Similar crystal pendants at metaphysical shops near me go for $15–$20. This was under $5. Met my expectations easily.
US $0.99

💫 Universe Star Charm Bracelet
The Blue Star Moon Charm is part of a modular Italian bracelet system I’ve been building out for months. This one looked unique and dreamy — the deep blue enamel mimics a night sky beautifully.
In person, it’s tiny but beautifully crafted. It fits seamlessly into my other modules, and the charm hasn’t tarnished after daily wear. It definitely doesn’t look or feel “cheap.”
Pros: – High shine, detailed enamel – No skin irritation – Snaps into other modules easily
Cons: – None worth mentioning
At local charm shops, I’d expect to pay $12–15 for similar modules. This one came in under $3. Total gem.
US $1.2

🌙 Magnetic Levitating Power Module
This Wireless Magnetic Levitation Power Module was a DIY project I couldn’t resist. I saw someone make a floating moon lamp on YouTube and immediately wanted to try it.
Assembly was a bit tricky but doable with steady hands. Once set up, the “levitation” effect is seriously cool. The floating globe (I paired it with a 3D-printed moon) slowly spins mid-air. Friends always ask how it works!
Pros: – Awesome visual effect – Good power transfer for LEDs – Compact and easy to embed
Cons: – Requires careful alignment – Gets warm after long use
US levitation kits go for $40+. This cost under $15. It exceeded expectations by far.
US $10.28

🌔 Apollo 11 Commemorative Rocket Pin
This Apollo 11 Rocket Brooch is pure nostalgia. I’ve started collecting space mission memorabilia, and this was an affordable addition to my collection.
The detail is fine — clean lines, readable text, and the rocket shape is accurate. I’ve worn it on jackets and hats, and it gets compliments.
Pros: – Beautiful craftsmanship – Sharp colors and lines – Strong pin mechanism
Cons: – Slightly smaller than expected
Similar pins from collector shops are $10+. This one? Around $1.50. Great value.
US $1.31

🧱 Lunar Space Station Building Blocks
The Urban Lunar Space Station Blocks were a gift for my nephew. He’s obsessed with LEGO, but the official NASA sets are wildly expensive. This set promised something similar for a fraction of the cost.
It took about 2 hours to build, and the pieces fit surprisingly well. The final model looks great on a shelf, and the kid had a blast putting it together. It’s obviously not LEGO quality, but it’s close enough.
Pros: – Fun design with creative details – Good brick compatibility – Impressive end result
Cons: – Instructions could be clearer – Some pieces needed extra pressure to fit
At $12, this is an awesome alt to $60+ LEGO space kits. It did more than just meet expectations — it actually entertained both of us.
US $23.37

🌠 Apollo 11 Commemorative Enamel Pin (Portuguese Version)
Yes, I knowingly bought a second Apollo 11 Enamel Pin, but this version had Portuguese text, which I thought was a quirky, global addition to my space-themed pinboard.
The finish and color were slightly different from the English version — more of a matte than gloss — but just as well made. Same solid clasp, and the enamel feels thick and durable.
Pros: – Unique variation of a classic pin – Great for international collectors – Nice texture and finish
Cons: – Not all might like the non-English text
This one cost the same as the English version — less than $2. Again, can’t complain. It gave my collection an unexpected twist.
US $0.54
Final Thoughts
I went into this AliExpress haul half-expecting a couple of these items to be duds — maybe poorly made or not quite like the pictures. Instead, every item either met or exceeded expectations. Most of them cost a fraction of what I would’ve paid for similar items in the US. The delivery took about 2–3 weeks, but nothing arrived damaged, and tracking was consistent.
Would I recommend these products? Absolutely. Especially for hobbyists, collectors, and DIYers on a budget. I’m already eyeing a few more sci-fi kits and sensor modules. If this keeps up, AliExpress might just become my go-to for niche stuff I can’t justify buying full-price in the US.
