🔌 EMAX 80A–12A BLHeli ESC for FPV Drones
I picked up a couple of these EMAX BLHeli ESCs mainly for my QAV250 and a smaller FPV racing build. I’ve used EMAX gear before and always found them decently reliable for the price, and the sheer variety of amp ratings (12A to 80A) made it easier to match what I needed for different frames.
What I liked: The compact build, pre-soldered pads, and solid documentation won me over. Shipping took about 12 days to the US, which was faster than I expected. I got the 30A and 60A variants and installed them in two separate drones.
In use: Smooth throttle response, excellent heat dissipation even under load, and easy BLHeli programming via USB. For the price (~$7–$12), these are a steal compared to US prices ($18–$25+ for similar ESCs).
Pros:
-
Affordable for bulk drone building
-
Reliable under stress (tested in aggressive freestyle sessions)
-
Lightweight
-
Smooth, linear power delivery
Cons:
-
No heat shrink included
-
Solder pads could be better spaced for beginners
Final thought: Exceeded my expectations. They perform like ESCs double the price in US stores.

🔋 PINZHENG High-Capacity Battery for iPhone (Various Models)
Decided to replace my iPhone 12 battery with this PINZHENG high-capacity option because my phone couldn’t last past lunchtime anymore. I liked that they offered versions for nearly all iPhone models and claimed real capacity with a 1-year warranty.
Why I bought it: Too many “high capacity” fakes on Amazon. This one has a good review base and real teardown photos.
Install & use: I had it installed at a local repair shop (you could do it yourself with a kit). It’s been running strong for 3 weeks now. Lasts about 20–25% longer than my original battery ever did.
Pros:
-
True capacity (tested with CoconutBattery, results consistent)
-
Doesn’t overheat
-
Fast shipping (10 days)
-
Supports fast charge
Cons:
-
Doesn’t include installation tools
-
Slightly thicker than the original (but not noticeable in daily use)
Compared to US prices: At $12–$15, it’s dirt cheap. A comparable battery from iFixit costs over $40.
Verdict: Legit battery. Met and even exceeded my expectations.

⚙️ Emax 12g Metal Gear Servo for RC Car (EMX-SV-0275)
Needed a tough little servo for my SCX24 Gladiator. Burned out two stock servos in trail runs, so I turned to this Emax metal gear model.
Why this one: Metal gears, solid torque ratings (2.4kg), and good reviews. Seemed like a better investment than another plastic gear servo.
In practice: Way smoother steering. No twitching, and it hasn’t stripped despite some heavy abuse in rocky terrain.
Pros:
-
All-metal internals
-
Fast response
-
Plug-and-play compatible with SCX24
-
Good torque for its size
Cons:
-
Louder than plastic gear servos
-
Heats up slightly under load
Price comparison: Paid around $6. Similar metal servos on Horizon Hobby are $18+.
Final judgment: 100% worth it. I’d buy two more just to have spares.

🎮 HAC-003 Battery for Nintendo Switch Console
My Switch battery life had dropped to about 1.5 hours, so I replaced it with this genuine HAC-003 battery. I was skeptical about its authenticity but rolled the dice anyway.
Attraction: It claimed to be a genuine 4310mAh cell. Price was about a third of what I’d pay in the US.
After install: Battery life jumped back to 3–3.5 hours on Zelda sessions. Held charge well during standby too. No overheating or swelling.
Pros:
-
Real capacity
-
Quick shipping (about 9 days)
-
Rejuvenated my Switch
Cons:
-
Doesn’t come with installation tools
-
Requires some teardown skills
US price comparison: Costs around $14 on AliExpress. iFixit sells similar for $40–$50.
My verdict: Solid deal. Easily saved $30+.

🔧 Emax ES08MD-II 12g Analog Metal Gear Servo
This is a beefed-up version of the earlier Emax servo I got. I used it in a lightweight RC airplane and was impressed by how much punch it delivered.
Reason I chose it: High-speed response and better internal durability. It’s marketed as a high-speed servo, and I was curious.
Real use: Performance is snappy. In-flight response is precise, and there’s no jitter. The servo comes pre-trimmed and doesn’t require much adjustment.
Pros:
-
Lightweight
-
Fast and accurate movement
-
Excellent value for money
Cons:
-
Wire length is short for bigger models
-
Not waterproof
Pricing: Paid about $7. Easily $20+ in hobby shops stateside.
Satisfied? Definitely. Can’t ask for more at this price point.

🔌 EMAX 1S 650mAh Battery + Charger for Tinyhawk III
I grabbed this EMAX 1S 650mAh HV battery set for my Tinyhawk III Plus. Needed a charger that works with PH2.0 and doesn’t overcharge.
Why this one: Matched brand and connector, and I trust EMAX stuff. Dual-use: battery and charger together.

Pros:
-
Fast charging

US equivalent price: $13 vs $25–30 at local hobby stores.
Expectations met? Absolutely. Will buy a few more sets.
$13.92
✅ Final Verdict
I honestly didn’t expect all ten of these AliExpress products to work this well. Everything arrived in 9–15 days, and not one item was DOA or subpar. The build quality on all of them (especially the EMAX ESCs and the GNB lipos) was either on par or better than similar gear sold in the US. Would I order again? No doubt. I’m already eyeing more drone accessories and iPhone parts. If you’re comfortable waiting a couple of weeks for shipping, AliExpress is 100% worth it—especially for RC gear and tech parts.
