I got a second version of the Aqara Motion Sensor to compare performance. Interestingly, this one had a slightly longer detection range and came with a better adhesive mount.
It worked similarly well, but the software support was slightly different between this model and the first one. Still, no complaints—worked perfectly in my kitchen to trigger under-cabinet lights.
Pros: Improved mount, slightly wider range, quick response time.
Cons: Minor software differences caused initial confusion.
Price was identical to the first one—around $11—and it holds its own against US brands that charge double.

I honestly expected one or two of these to be duds, but all ten products worked as advertised—some even better. Delivery across all items averaged about 10–16 days, and everything came well-packed. The quality, especially for the price, far exceeded what I would get buying from US brands on Amazon or in stores. I’m now deep into the Aqara ecosystem and planning to automate more of my home. If you’re smart home curious, these products are a cost-effective way to experiment. Highly recommend. I’ll absolutely be ordering more.
