1/10 RC Car Water Cooler Simulation Model
I ordered this miniature RC Car Water Cooler because I’ve been building a hyper-detailed 1/10 scale drift car and was looking for scale accessories to enhance realism. This cooler caught my attention for how true-to-life it looked even in product images — I had my doubts, but for under $7, I had to try.
Impression: Honestly, I was stunned when it arrived. The level of detail is fantastic. The faux radiator cap, molded plastic, and accurate proportions make it look like a scaled-down version of a real off-road cooler. It’s surprisingly lightweight, easy to mount, and doesn’t rattle or affect the car’s performance. It’s purely decorative but adds so much realism during photo sessions and meets.
Pros:
-
Highly realistic appearance
-
Affordable
-
Lightweight and easy to install
Cons:
-
Only available in a few color variants
-
Doesn’t come with stickers or decals (which would be a nice bonus)
Price Comparison: Similar RC accessories in the U.S. hobby stores go for $10–$15. At around half that price, this is a no-brainer.
Verdict: Exceeded expectations. Will likely buy more accessories from the same store.
US $0.99

TRX-4 2-Door Pickup Hard Body (324mm)
This TRX-4 2-Door Pickup Truck Shell was a must-have for me. I’m working on a Defender-themed TRX4 build, and this body seemed like a perfect match with the realistic doors and grill design.
Impression: The hard plastic is tough, solid, and comes pre-drilled for most mounting systems. The molded details — door lines, fenders, and even the tailgate — are incredibly well done. I painted it myself, and it took paint beautifully.
Pros:
-
Durable hard plastic
-
Authentic Defender-style sculpt
-
Compatible with multiple 324mm rigs
Cons:
-
No instructions included
-
Requires sanding and primer if painting
Price Comparison: Stateside, a similar body would cost around $80–$100. This one came in under $45 — a steal for the build quality.
Verdict: Absolutely satisfied. It’s rugged and authentic. Great value for money.
US $60.46

INJORA Stainless Steel Links Kit (313–324mm)
I grabbed the INJORA Stainless Link Kit as a chassis upgrade for both my TRX4 and SCX10 rigs. I’ve heard good things about INJORA’s steel components and wanted to ditch the plastic links.
Impression: These links are heavy-duty. The threading is clean, and the rod ends fit tightly. Assembly took a bit of patience, but they significantly improved articulation and ride height. No more flex or sag under stress.
Pros:
-
Solid stainless construction
-
Adjustable for 313mm and 324mm setups
-
Very responsive suspension upgrade
Cons:
-
Some rods were unmarked, which made assembly confusing
-
Included screws could be better
Price Comparison: U.S. sellers charge $40–$60 for a similar kit. This was $25 and feels just as premium.
Verdict: Upgrade well worth the cost. Highly recommend for any serious crawler builder.
US $16.93

YUKALA Painted RC Shell (190mm)
I bought the YUKALA 190mm Painted RC Shell as a backup drift shell for my MST RMX 2.0. I chose the metallic red version — looked great in the photos, but I was skeptical about the finish.
Impression: The paint is glossy, no bubbles or overspray, and the body lines are sharp. It came pre-trimmed (big bonus), and mounted perfectly. I was genuinely surprised by the quality at this price point.
Pros:
-
Pre-painted and pre-cut
-
Paint is durable and chip-resistant
-
Multiple style options
Cons:
-
No window masks or decals included
-
Paint scratches if not protected with film
Price Comparison: In the U.S., similar painted shells run $35–$50. This was under $20.
Verdict: Well beyond expectations. I’ve ordered two more already.
US $3.62

Metal 4-Door Pickup Truck Shell (313–324mm)
This Metal 4-Door Pickup Shell caught my eye because of the rugged Defender SCX10/Traxxas compatibility. I wanted a 4-door look for my trail crawler, and this one had the strongest visual impact.
Impression: It’s a beast. Full metal construction, sharp panel lines, and functional-looking handles. It gives my build a super realistic expedition look. Not the lightest shell, but worth the weight.
Pros:
-
Real metal body
-
Amazing realism
-
Pre-drilled and solid mounting
Cons:
-
Very heavy
-
Needs repainting unless silver is your thing
Price Comparison: Metal shells in U.S. stores easily go for $90–$120. This one was around $55.
Verdict: Not for racers, but for scale realism? Unbeatable.
US $17.45

RCDream RD110 Single Cab 2-Door (324mm)
I wanted something unique and old-school for a Bronco-style build — the RCDream RD110 Hard Body totally nailed that look. I went with the yellow version, and it’s the most “retro” shell I’ve seen.
Impression: The plastic is thick and durable. It came with lots of little parts like mirrors and wipers. It does require assembly, but the fitment is excellent. The cab shape is perfect for that 80s pickup vibe.
Pros:
-
Awesome retro aesthetics
-
Modular parts for realism
-
Great fit for TRX4/SCX10
Cons:
-
Needs full assembly
-
Some parts are fragile (mirrors snapped easily)
Price Comparison: In the U.S., hard bodies like this can go upwards of $100. This was under $50.
Verdict: For nostalgic builds, it’s hard to beat. Looks and feels premium.
US $8.86

HS 1:18 RC Car Shell (Multiple Models)
This HS 1:18 RC Car Shell was a bit of a gamble. I needed a replacement body for my 18322 after a gnarly crash. These smaller bodies are harder to find in the U.S., so I tried AliExpress.
Impression: Very pleasantly surprised. The shell fits perfectly and actually feels sturdier than the original. Colors are vibrant, and it comes with decals. Mounting holes lined up flawlessly.
Pros:
-
Perfect fit for HS 1:18 cars
-
Bright color options
-
Cheap and durable
Cons:
-
Thin in some areas
-
Not suited for custom painting
Price Comparison: U.S. equivalents cost $15–$20. I paid just under $9.
Verdict: Great little body. Will likely grab a few more colors.
US $2.8

51 Styles Painted PVC Drift Shell (1/10 Scale)
This Painted PVC Drift Car Body was a pure impulse buy. I needed something flashy for casual parking lot drifts, and the “Style 12” graffiti version just looked fun.
Impression: The PVC is flexible and doesn’t crack on light impact. Paint is vibrant, with some minor imperfections. It’s wider than my usual 190mm shells, which actually gives a bit more clearance.
Pros:
-
Tons of design options
-
Ready to use out of the box
-
Flexible and crash-resistant
Cons:
-
Paint slightly uneven in spots
-
Graphics may not be everyone’s style
Price Comparison: I usually pay $30–$45 for painted shells here. This cost $18.
Verdict: A fun, low-stakes shell that gets compliments. Definitely worth it.
US $6.04
Overall Verdict
I went into this AliExpress haul cautiously optimistic, and ended up totally impressed. Every item arrived within 2–3 weeks, well packaged, and in better condition than expected. The build quality across the board was consistently higher than the price would suggest. In the U.S., I would’ve easily paid 2–3x more for similar RC parts and accessories. I’ll absolutely be ordering more — especially hard bodies and scale mods. Highly recommended for anyone into RC building or customization.
