GALAXY TIE Bomber Space Bricks Set
I picked the GALAXY TIE Bomber Space Bricks Set mostly out of nostalgia—I grew up loving Star Wars and couldn’t resist a model of the TIE Interceptor and Y-Wing bundled into one sleek building kit. On AliExpress, it had a ton of great reviews, and the photos looked promising for the price. For under $25, I figured, why not?
Shipping took about 12 days to the U.S., which honestly exceeded my expectations. The kit arrived well-packaged, with each piece bagged and the instructions included in both physical and PDF formats. The build took me about 4 hours in total. The bricks aren’t LEGO, but they snap in tight and feel sturdy once assembled. The level of detail on the TIE wings and the Y-wing cockpit was impressive, and I even found myself admiring the end result on my shelf more than I thought I would.
Pros: Great value, detailed build, tight fit, sleek display finish. Cons: Instructions weren’t always intuitive—took some trial and error. No minifigures included.
Compared to similar Star Wars sets in the U.S., which would run $60–$80 minimum for this size and complexity, this was a steal. It absolutely met my expectations and even surprised me with the build quality.

JIESTAR Venator Attack Cruiser Ship Model
The JIESTAR Venator Cruiser is what drew me into the whole AliExpress rabbit hole in the first place. This is a massive replica of the Clone Wars-era warship—and I say massive because it comes in over 1,200 pieces. I paid around $38, which is laughably low when you realize LEGO’s official version would be at least $150.
It took just under 3 weeks to arrive, so a little longer than the rest, but everything was intact. Building this was a project; it took a couple of evenings, but the payoff was worth it. The internal structure was more intricate than expected, and the top panels snap in firmly. It’s definitely a display piece and not something I’d give to younger kids for play.
Pros: Incredible detail, large size, satisfying build process, very close to LEGO quality. Cons: Stickers instead of printed bricks, and some colors were slightly off in shade.
This kit blew my mind for the price. If you’re a fan of Clone Wars or big ships in general, this is one to get. It absolutely lived up to the hype and felt like a bargain.

Star Wars Minifigure Set (Darth, Luke, Boba, etc.)
I grabbed the Star Wars Character Mini Bricks Set mainly to populate the ships I built. For $10, you get Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, C-3PO, a couple droids, and more. That’s crazy cheap compared to what LEGO minifigs sell for individually in the States—usually $5 to $10 each.
They arrived in about 9 days, individually wrapped, and were super easy to assemble. The print quality isn’t quite LEGO-grade, but it’s honestly close. The helmets, lightsabers, and capes add nice touches, and they all stand well on any baseplates.
Pros: Huge value, good print details, solid accessories. Cons: Some figures had loose joints, especially the droids.
Overall, I was impressed. If you’re not a purist and just want to expand your Star Wars figure lineup on the cheap, these are a no-brainer.

Imperial Probe Droid Building Kit
The Imperial Probe Droid Set looked unique compared to other Star Wars kits, so I went for it to add some variety to my display shelf. At just over $20, it felt like a good bet. The product images had me intrigued—the spindly limbs and spherical head looked like a fun challenge.
It shipped within two weeks and came with printed instructions. Building it was… actually kind of a Zen experience. It took me around two hours, and I loved how the individual mechanical legs articulated at the joints. It’s not a big set, but it feels substantial when finished, and the clear base gives it a cool floating effect.
Pros: Distinctive look, clean parts, fun to build. Cons: Some pieces were tricky to align perfectly. Not ideal for kids—more of a display piece.
Compared to U.S. models like this (LEGO’s version runs around $60), this set’s price-performance ratio is off the charts. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Clone Trooper & Stormtrooper Minifig Set
I’m a sucker for clone troopers, so when I saw this 501st Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers Mini Figure Set, I couldn’t resist. At under $8 for a batch of 8+ figures, it almost felt too good to be true. I’ve been burned before by poor prints or figures that don’t stand up straight—but not here.
The figures showed up in 11 days and required simple assembly. These actually feel better than I expected. The helmets are nicely detailed, the poses are versatile, and the addition of little blasters was a fun touch. I paired them with my Venator cruiser and the scene looks incredible.
Pros: Super affordable, sharp detailing, compatible with LEGO. Cons: Some inconsistent paint on a few visors, but nothing major.
Honestly, if I bought these at a U.S. toy store or convention, I’d be paying $40+ easily. So yeah, this was a win.

Second JIESTAR Venator Cruiser Set (Gift)
Yes, I bought another JIESTAR Venator Cruiser. This one was actually for my nephew, who’s just getting into Star Wars and building. I figured if mine was this solid, he’d love it—and I was right. He couldn’t believe I got it from AliExpress and spent the whole weekend assembling it (with a little help).
Packaging and delivery were as smooth as the first one. No missing pieces. Instructions were easier for him than I expected, and now it’s the centerpiece of his desk.
Pros: Still a solid set, great for older kids and teens. Cons: Not ideal for beginners without help.
This is my favorite purchase from AliExpress so far. It made me look like the cool older relative and only cost me a fraction of what I would’ve paid locally.

Final Verdict
I honestly went into this AliExpress haul with low expectations—figured I’d get what I paid for, and maybe less. But every item either met or exceeded what I hoped for. The building blocks were tight-fitting, the instructions were usable, and the overall quality felt close to what I’d pay 3–4x for in U.S. retail stores.
I’m more than satisfied with the purchase. These are excellent alternatives for hobby builders, collectors, and Star Wars fans who don’t want to drop a fortune. I’d absolutely recommend these products and already have a few more sets in my cart. AliExpress really surprised me this time—in the best way.
