🔋 Waitley 18V Battery for Makita Power Tools (BL1860)
I picked this Waitley 18V 6.0Ah BL1860 battery because my original Makita batteries are getting tired, and Waitley has a surprisingly good reputation on AliExpress. I was initially skeptical — I mean, a third-party 6Ah Li-ion for under $30? But the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and I liked that this version has integrated BMS protection.
Shipping to the U.S. took around two and a half weeks — not bad for standard AliExpress delivery. The battery arrived well-packed in a foam-protected box, no damage, and with a full charge. It clipped right into my Makita drill and angle grinder with no issues.
Pros:
-
True-to-size 6.0Ah capacity — I ran my grinder longer than with my Makita BL1850
-
Solid build, casing feels tough, doesn’t rattle
-
Fits original Makita charger and tools perfectly
-
Has LED charge indicators
-
Price: $28 vs. $90+ for OEM in U.S. stores
Cons: – Slightly bulkier than the original – A bit heavier
Compared to my factory BL1850B, this battery holds its own. Runtime is solid, and the added LEDs are helpful on-site. It exceeded my expectations, and honestly, if this lasts at least a year, it’s a steal.
US $34.28

🔋 BL1850 for Makita 18V 6Ah Original-Style Battery
This 18V 6Ah BL1850 replica attracted me because it was advertised as “original level” and compatible with a wireless grinder, which I use heavily. I chose this for my Makita XAG04 and cordless hammer drill.
Delivery was fast — 12 days to Chicago. What impressed me was the battery came in a branded box with shrink wrap and QR authenticity code. It gave off a premium vibe.
Pros:
-
Great fit with tight click-in on my tools
-
Doesn’t overheat even during heavy grinder use
-
Clean outer casing, close match to OEM look
-
Priced around $31 vs. $110 in local hardware stores
Cons: – No charge indicator LEDs – Plastic feels slightly lighter than Makita originals
I’ve been using this battery for about three weeks. It handles my 4.5” angle grinder without drop-off in torque. I’m impressed by the performance and don’t miss the OEM much.
US $25.2

🔋 8000mAh Replacement Battery + 6A Charger
The combo of a high-capacity 8000mAh replacement battery with a 6A charger was too good to pass up. My older Makita charger is slow, so this felt like an upgrade. Plus, 8Ah? I was curious.
It took 16 days to arrive, well-packed with the charger in a separate box. First impressions: big and heavy battery, but solid. The 6A charger feels surprisingly sturdy and charges fast.
Pros:
-
6A fast charger cuts charge time significantly
-
The battery lasts longer than I expected — over an hour on continuous drilling
-
Secure tool fit and doesn’t overheat
-
Great value: $42 for both vs. $150+ in the U.S.
Cons: – Battery is heavy, definitely not for overhead work – Charger fan is a bit loud
Both the battery and charger work better than I imagined. Perfect for someone with a lot of heavy-duty jobs.
US $21.02

🔋 18650 Lithium-ion Cell Battery Pack for Makita
I bought this 18650 cell pack version out of curiosity and because it was one of the cheapest. Claimed to be suitable for BL1860 / BL1830 models.
Shipping took 3 weeks — the slowest of all 10 items. No frills here: it came wrapped in bubble plastic, no box. But the build is decent, and it charges fine.
Pros:
-
Budget-friendly at around $24
-
Works with all my tools
-
Lightweight
Cons: – No LED indicators – Feels generic – Runtime is noticeably shorter than 6Ah models
Not a heavy-duty solution, but for casual or backup use, it gets the job done.
US $19.81

🔋 18,000mAh BL1860 Rechargeable Battery
This one’s advertised as 18.0Ah, which sounded… insane. I ordered it mainly to test the claim.
Arrived in 14 days. Heavier than any Makita battery I’ve handled. It fit my impact driver and circular saw, though with a noticeable weight increase.
Pros:
-
Incredible runtime — lasted over 2.5x longer than my 6Ah
-
Solid performance under load
-
Surprisingly decent heat management
Cons: – Very heavy — tiring for long handheld use – Takes a while to charge – Might not fit all tools due to size
Price-to-performance is amazing ($38). Just know this isn’t a lightweight option.
US $15.49

🔋 BL1860 6Ah Power Tools Battery with BMS (TPCELL)
This 6Ah TPCELL battery caught my attention because it advertised a smart BMS chip and protection circuit. Safety matters, especially with lithium-ion.
Delivery time was 13 days. It looked sleek out of the box. Has a charge level LED and tight build quality.
Pros:
-
Safe — doesn’t heat up or drain unexpectedly
-
Battery indicator LED
-
Competitive price ($29)
-
Reliable fit for Makita tools
Cons: – No included charger – Slightly longer recharge time
Met expectations and then some. Stable, no surprises, and seems to have legit capacity.

🔋 6.0Ah Replacement Battery for BL1860 Series
Another one marketed as compatible with the full BL1860 / BL1850B / BL1830 range. What sold me was the promise of high-discharge rate and longevity.
Shipping: 12 days. The battery looks rugged and the terminals are very clean.
Pros:
-
High torque output — works well with circular saw
-
Doesn’t drop voltage quickly
-
Feels well-balanced in hand
Cons: – No LED display – Outer shell feels slightly hollow
It’s on par with the TPCELL version. I’ve had no tool misreads, which is a good sign.

I chose this 6000mAh battery with LED and a 3A charger for portability — the 3A charger is compact and perfect for light users.

Pros:
-
Compact charger good for travel
-
Battery has helpful charge display
-
Easy to carry
-
Excellent for light-duty users
Cons: – Slower charger than expected – Battery gets warm after full discharge

🔋 18.0Ah Battery with LED for Makita LXT
This one is another 18.0Ah battery, but with a sleeker design and LED display.
Took 15 days to arrive. Hefty, like the other 18Ah, but better balanced in the hand.
Pros:
-
Super long runtime
-
Battery indicator display is responsive
-
Strong torque, no power sag
Cons: – Heavy – Needs high-current charger for best results
Feels like a power bank for tools. A beast in runtime — worth it if you need endurance.

🔋 Waitley 6.0Ah Rechargeable Battery for Makita
Finally, another from Waitley. This 6.0Ah version had excellent reviews and promised OEM-like reliability.
Came in 12 days. Looks nearly identical to Makita. Clean clicks, smooth usage.
Pros:
-
Perfect fit
-
True-to-capacity runtime
-
Charge status LEDs
-
One of the best cost-to-quality ratios
Cons: – Not ideal for compact tools due to weight
Absolutely lived up to the hype — I’d put this side-by-side with OEM any day.
US $45.52
🔧 Final Thoughts
Honestly, I didn’t expect all of these AliExpress Makita-compatible batteries to perform this well. Every item arrived without issues, delivery was reasonable, and the build quality was better than I imagined — especially for the price. Most batteries cost one-third (or less) of the U.S. equivalent.
Would I recommend them? Yes — especially Waitley and the 8000mAh+ versions with LED displays. Just be mindful of the heavier models. I’m already eyeing some other accessories and extra chargers. AliExpress has definitely earned a spot in my tool-buying rotation.
